WeTheNorth Market login guide
"WTN login" should be the most boring thing you do all day. It becomes exciting — in the bad way — only when it happens on the wrong page. This guide keeps it boring.
The official login pages
Log in at any of these — all serve the identical market:
- Tor (recommended): hn2paw7zaahbikbejiv6h22zwtijlam65y2c77xj2ypbilm2xs4bnbid.onion
- Clearnet: wtnmarket.net • wtnmarket.ru • wtnmarket.store
First-time login, done right
- Register on the market (username + unique passphrase — no email required).
- Enable 2FA immediately in account settings, before any deposit. Use an authenticator app, not SMS.
- Add a PGP key if you have one.
- Save the recovery mnemonic offline — paper, not cloud.
- Bookmark the address you used. Logins start from bookmarks, always.
Login problems — the usual suspects, in order
1. Phishing page (check first, always)
Before anything else, look at the address bar. Is it exactly one of the addresses above? A clone that has already eaten your passphrase will happily tell you your login "failed". If you suspect it: open the real address, change your passphrase now, withdraw your balance.
2. 2FA code expired
Authenticator codes live 30 seconds. Slow typing on a laggy Tor circuit is the classic cause of a "wrong code". Wait for a fresh code, type it in one go.
3. Wrong keyboard layout / caps
Happens to everyone. Password managers make it a non-issue — use one.
4. Market maintenance
Rare, and announced on the forum. If the page itself fails to load (rather than rejecting your login), it is usually a Tor circuit — try "New Tor circuit for this site".
The passphrase rules
- Used for WTN and nothing else on earth.
- Long beats clever: four random words beat "Tor0nto!2026".
- Stored in a password manager or on paper — not in a notes app synced to your real identity.
- Changed immediately if you ever mistype it into a page you did not verify.
After login — the 30-second sanity check
Your account should know you: balance present, order history present, messages intact. A "successful" login that presents an empty account means you are on a clone that captured your credentials and has not yet logged in as you. Change your passphrase from a verified link immediately.
